Dubai is transforming itself into a premier tourist destination. Its Dubailand mega project, several times the size of Disneyland,  will contain 45 mega projects and over 200 tourism, leisure and entertainment sub projects, making it an exciting place to visit that will take your breath away!

Did you know that the largest indoor snow park in the world is now functioning in Dubai? It has runs, chairlifts and snow patrols, like any other ski resort. A snow park next door has tobogganing, icy bobsleigh runs and a ski school!

There were at least ten superb golf courses in Dubai at last count and several more are in the offing! One can also enjoy watersports, polo, nightlife, desert safaris and the many other exciting pursuits.

The city is divided by Dubai Creek.

A very interesting way to travel from Bur Dubai to Deira on the north bank, which no visitor should miss, is by abra (a water taxi).

The dhows waiting to be loaded with goods bound for neighboring countries take you back several hundred years and offer you a peek at ancient Arabia.

Dubai is so safe that a woman can walk or travel all alone in the wee hours of the morning, decked with jewellery and be none the worse for it.
