Hotels in Dubai

Dubai had a total of 415 hotels and furnished apartments last year, offering about 40,000 rooms in various categories, according to the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM).

In 2006, occupancy levels were 82% (down from 84.6% in 2005), while Dubai's total hotel room revenues registered a 34% increase from AED4.5 billion ($1.2 billion) in 2005 to AED6 billion ($1.6 billion) in 2006.

 An additional 22,000 hotel rooms will be available in Dubai by the end of 2008.
